My Overflow

Lacking Nothing

I am finding that I’ve had a misrepresentation of what lack really means. Something as simple as a quarter tank of gas or what’s left of laundry detergent has taught me that I lack no good thing. Security is often found in surplus. Knowing we have an abundance helps balance our reasoning of safety. But the Lord says you have more than enough. Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries of its own Mathew 6: 25.

Idolatry is subtle. It’s not always the golden calf in our living room. What does your heart reach for over His garment, over His face. God, through the reconciliation of Jesus offers us ALL face to face union with Him.  Are you thirsty? Come and drink Isaiah 55:1. My choice is to sit at His table and feast on the well that never runs dry.

He will supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus Phillipians 4:19
